High End Contact Lens Case
Developed CAD data (Autodesk Alias) for several contact lens case concepts. Development included use of traditional tools such as hand sketching, as well as CAD software. Collaborative project.
The brief called for a durable, long-life contact lens case as a direct response to the disposable plastic cases that dominate the current market; products given away free with solution bottles, made from flimsy materials, and discarded without thought.
Research into user behavior, materials, and manufacturing feasibility shaped the design from the ground up; an integrated UV disinfection lamp was explored and validated as a concept, but deferred to a future version due to manufacturing complexity.
